Our Story
Not My Twin started with a torch being passed. My big sister, Felicia, was known for her waist beads and body butters—she taught me the ropes and gave me her blessing. From there the brand was born, an ode to people always mixing us up we agreed that the only fitting name was: Not My Twin.
The name means more than just sisterhood. It means originality—no two waist beads alike, no cookie-cutter products, no pretending to be something I’m not. Everything I make is true to me and my multi faceted creativity.
My Journey
I’ve lived a lot of life—from Helena, Arkansas (aka Helltown) to the Northside of Minneapolis, from eating free lunch at North Commons to raising kids, grinding through jobs, and finding healing in my 30s and 40s. Not My Twin is part of that healing. It’s my safe space, my art form, and my way of sharing joy.
I don’t put myself in a box I don’t fit in. This brand is me -- authentic, confident, powerful, safe, and satisfying. When you shop here, you’re not just buying a product. You’re feeling the energy of someone who’s been through it, came out glowing, and wants the same for you.
